Fajita Steak Rice is the kind of one-pan meal that brings big flavor with minimal effort. Juicy grass-fed steak bites, colorful veggies, and perfectly seasoned rice come together to create a cozy, satisfying dish that tastes like a Tex-Mex skillet meets a comforting rice bowl. It’s bold, hearty, and packed with nourishing ingredients—exactly the type of meal that makes weeknights feel a little more special.
This recipe layers flavor from start to finish. The steak bites sear quickly in olive oil and butter, picking up a golden crust while staying tender inside. In the same pan, the onions, peppers, tomato purée, and chopped tomatoes simmer into a rich, fajita-inspired sauce that coats every grain of rice. Melted cheddar and mozzarella give the dish a creamy finish without overpowering the fresh, vibrant spices from the Siete fajita seasoning.
The avocado crema takes everything to another level. Blended with lime juice and sour cream, it adds a cool, silky contrast to the warm spices and melty cheese. Drizzle it over the top, garnish with fresh parsley, and you’ve got a complete, crowd-pleasing meal that feels both wholesome and indulgent. Perfect for meal prep, busy nights, or when you want a flavorful dinner without a lot of cleanup.
My Favorite Brands to Use in This Recipe:
- Grass Fed Beef – Opt for 100% grass-fed, organic beef for higher omega-3s, better nutrient content, and a cleaner protein source. Unlike conventionally raised beef, which often contains antibiotics and hormones, grass-fed beef is rich in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), antioxidants, and essential vitamins like B12 and iron. The higher omega-3 fatty acid content supports heart health, brain function, and reduced inflammation, making it a superior choice for those looking to improve overall wellness. Additionally, grass-fed beef is more sustainable and environmentally friendly, as it comes from cattle that graze naturally rather than being fed grain-based diets.
- Organic Vegetables– Organic produce is grown without synthetic pesticides or GMOs, preserving natural nutrients and flavors while reducing exposure to toxins. Opting for fresh, organic vegetables ensures you’re getting the cleanest, most nutrient-dense ingredients in every bite.
- Lundberg Rice – My top choice for health-conscious kitchens because it’s organic, non-GMO, and grown using sustainable, eco-friendly farming practices. Unlike conventional rice brands, Lundberg prioritizes soil health, biodiversity, and water conservation so you’re not just nourishing your body, you’re supporting the planet too. Their rice is also tested for arsenic and other contaminants, making it a safer option.
