Ditching the Junk: Healthy Muffin Tops

A few weeks ago, I watched my niece and nephew happily devour store-bought muffin tops—you know, those Thomas ones that seem like a “better” option but are actually packed with refined sugars and preservatives. So, I got to work in my kitchen and created these Homemade Healthy Muffin Tops—a treat that’s naturally sweetened with organic coconut sugar, packed with healthy fats from almond flour, and free from preservatives. Plus, they’re gluten-free, grain-free, and dairy-free, making them a perfect snack for both kids and adults.

Why These Ingredients?

🌿 Organic Coconut Sugar – A lower-glycemic alternative to refined sugar, keeping blood sugar levels more stable.
🥚 Pasture-Raised Egg – Full of high-quality protein and essential nutrients.
🌰 Almond Flour – A great gluten-free alternative that’s rich in healthy fats and protein.
🍫 Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips – A better-for-you chocolate option, free from soy and dairy.
🌿 Cinnamon & Vanilla – Add warmth and depth of flavor natural

I like using this muffin top mold from Amazon to get the perfect shape!

Kid-Approved & Mom-Approved!

My niece and nephew LOVED these, and they didn’t even ask for the store-bought ones after trying them. That, to me, is the best kind of win—knowing they’re getting real food that nourishes their bodies instead of loading them up with chemicals and refined sugar.

So if you’re looking for a cleaner alternative to store-bought muffin tops, this is it! Give them a try and let me know what you think.
