Organic Turkey Chili – Healthy, Hearty, and Full of Flavor

If you’re looking for a healthy, comforting meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep, this Organic Turkey Chili is a must-try! Packed with lean organic ground turkey, nutrient-rich vegetables, and warming spices, this one-pot chili is both flavorful and nourishing. Whether you’re feeding a crowd or making extra for leftovers, this recipe is a family favorite.

Why Choose Organic Ingredients?

Whenever possible, I recommend using organic ingredients for your chili. Organic meats and produce are free from synthetic pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics, ensuring you’re giving your body clean, wholesome nutrition. Plus, organic vegetables are often fresher and more flavorful, which means even better-tasting chili!

Health Benefits of Organic Turkey Chili

  • High in protein from lean organic turkey
  • Rich in fiber from kidney beans and vegetables
  • Loaded with vitamins and antioxidants from organic bell peppers, tomatoes, and garlic
  • Naturally gluten-free and dairy-free friendly (simply omit sour cream and cheese toppings)

My Favorite Brands To Use In This Recipe:

  • All Organic Veggies: Organic produce is grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs), which means fewer harmful chemicals on your plate. Not only are organic veggies often richer in essential nutrients, but they also tend to have better flavor since they’re grown in healthier soil. Peppers are a part of the Dirty Dozen — a list published annually by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) that highlights the fruits and vegetables most contaminated with pesticides. Peppers often make this list because they have thin skins that pesticides can easily penetrate, and they are heavily treated to prevent pests during growth. This is why choosing organic is especially important if you’re aiming to reduce your exposure to harmful chemicals.
  • Kettle & Fire Bone Broth: When it comes to cooking nourishing meals, quality ingredients matter — and that’s why Kettle & Fire Organic Chicken Broth is a staple in my kitchen. Made with slow-simmered organic chicken bones, this broth is packed with collagen, minerals, and rich flavor that takes any dish — from soups and stews to sauces and chilis — to the next level. What sets Kettle & Fire apart is their commitment to using 100% organic ingredients with no artificial preservatives, additives, or fillers. It’s gluten-free, keto-friendly, Whole30-approved, and perfect for anyone looking to eat clean and wholesome foods. Whether I’m making my organic turkey chili, a cozy soup, or adding a splash to grains for extra flavor, I know I’m giving my family nutrient-dense goodness with every spoonful.
  • Organic Ground Turkey: Organic ground turkey is one of my favorite go-to proteins. Not only is it lean and protein-packed, but choosing organic makes a big difference in both quality and nutrition. Organic ground turkey comes from turkeys raised without antibiotics, hormones, or harmful additives, and they’re fed a certified organic diet, meaning no genetically modified grains or synthetic pesticides. What I love most is how versatile it is — perfect for everything from turkey meatballs and lettuce wraps to my hearty organic turkey chili. Because organic meat tends to be more flavorful, you don’t need to rely on heavy seasonings to make it taste amazing.

Turkey Chili

Prep Time5 minutes
Cook Time30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 large Onion
  • 5 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 large Peppers
  • 1 Jalapeños, seeds removed and finely chopped (optional for spice level)
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Garlic, Onion, Chili, Cumin, Oregano Powder
  • 2 lbs Organic Ground Turkey
  • 1 can Corn
  • 28 oz Tomatoes
  • 2 cans Kidney Beans
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth (I like Kettle & Fire)
  • Cheese & Sour Cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a large heavy-bottom pot or Dutch oven, heat the organic olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onions and minced garlic. Sauté for about 4 minutes until fragrant and softened.
  2. Stir in the diced peppers, corn and jalapeños (if using). If you prefer mild chili, you can skip the jalapeños or reduce the amount. Let the vegetables cook for about 5-6 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized — this helps develop deep flavor!
  3. Add the tomato paste, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, and oregano. Stir well to coat the vegetables, letting the spices toast for about 5 minutes. This step enhances the rich, smoky flavor of your chili.
  4. Create a small well in the center of the pot and add the organic ground turkey. Use your spatula to flatten the turkey into a thin layer so it browns evenly. Cook for 6-7 minutes, breaking it apart into crumbles as it browns and caramelizes. This step adds a savory depth to the chili.
  5. Once the turkey is fully cooked, add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and chicken broth. Stir everything together, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot for extra flavor. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and let the chili simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
