healthy salmon honey bowel

There’s something about a sweet-spicy salmon bowl that just hits every craving fresh, balanced, and full of flavor that feels both nourishing and satisfying. These Honey Sriracha Salmon Bowls are my go-to when I want something quick yet restaurant-worthy. They’re loaded with color, texture, and a perfect mix of protein, healthy fats, and fiber to keep you feeling full and energized.

The star of this recipe is the wild-caught salmon, marinated in a blend of tamari, honey, and sriracha for that crave-worthy balance of heat and sweetness. Tamari keeps it gluten-free and adds that deep umami flavor, while raw honey brings natural sweetness and a caramelized glaze as the sauce thickens. A quick sear in the pan gives the salmon crispy edges with a sticky, flavorful coating that pairs beautifully with creamy avocado and crunchy cucumber.

Everything comes together over a cozy bed of fluffy white rice, finished with edamame and a drizzle of sriracha mayo for extra richness. It’s the kind of bowl that feels indulgent but is made entirely with real, wholesome ingredients — simple to prep, easy to love, and endlessly customizable. Whether it’s a weeknight dinner or a quick meal prep for the week, this one is sure to become a regular in your rotation.

My Favorite Brands To Use in This Recipe:

Unlike conventional rice brands, Lundberg prioritizes soil health, biodiversity, and water conservation so you’re not just nourishing your body, you’re supporting the planet too. Their rice is also tested for arsenic and other contaminants, making it a safer option.
  • Chosen Foods Avocado Mayo – Made with real, wholesome ingredients and heart-healthy avocado oil instead of inflammatory seed oils like canola or soybean. It’s free from added sugars, artificial preservatives, and GMOs, making it a cleaner option for everyday meals. Rich in monounsaturated fats and full of flavor, it’s a nourishing swap that supports better health without sacrificing taste.
  • Wild Caught Salmon -Higher in omega-3s and lower in toxins like PCBs and antibiotics, which are commonly found in farmed salmon. Additionally, wild salmon grows naturally in its environment, leading to a leaner texture and richer flavor compared to farm-raised, which is often fed unnatural diets. Opting for wild-caught salmon supports sustainable fishing practices and ensures you’re getting the most nutrient-dense fish possible.
  • Organic Tamari -Naturally brewed soy sauce made without artificial additives or genetically modified ingredients. It’s crafted from organic soybeans and aged to develop a rich, smooth flavor that’s lower in sodium and gluten-free. Choosing organic tamari means enjoying pure, authentic taste while supporting sustainable farming practices and avoiding pesticide residues a better choice for your body and the planet.

Prep Time5 minutes
Cook Time20 minutes

Ingredients

For the Salmon:

  • 4 ounces Wild Caught Salmon
  • 3 tablespoons Tamari
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 2 teaspoons Minced Garlic
  • 3 tablespoons Water

For the Bowls:

  • 2 cups White Rice
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 Cucumber (sliced)
  • 1 cup Edamame (cooked)
  • 1/2 cup Sriracha Mayo

Instructions

  1. Cut the salmon into bite-sized cubes. In a large bowl, whisk together tamari, honey, sriracha, garlic, and water to make the marinade. Add in the salmon and let it soak up the flavor for about an hour.
  2. Once marinated, heat a large skillet with a little oil. Add the salmon pieces (save the extra marinade for later) and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Pour in the remaining marinade and simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the salmon.
  3. Assemble your bowls with a base of warm rice, then layer on the salmon, avocado, cucumber, and edamame. Drizzle generously with sriracha mayo, sprinkle with sesame seeds and a few slices of red onion, and enjoy a perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory in every bite.
