My Favorite Brands to Use in This Recipe:
- Organic Vegetables– Organic produce is grown without synthetic pesticides or GMOs, preserving natural nutrients and flavors while reducing exposure to toxins. Opting for fresh, organic vegetables ensures you’re getting the cleanest, most nutrient-dense ingredients in every bite.
- Kettle & Fire Organic Bone Broth – Made from slow-simmered, grass-fed bones, this broth is packed with collagen, minerals, and amino acids that support gut health and immunity. It’s also certified organic and free from artificial flavors or preservatives, making it a superior choice for rich, nourishing soups and one-pan meals.
- Chosen Foods Avocado Oil – A high smoke point (up to 500°F), which makes it perfect for achieving that golden, crispy crust without breaking down or burning like other oils. It’s also made from naturally refined, non-GMO avocados and contains heart-healthy monounsaturated fats so it’s a nourishing choice I feel good about using in my kitchen, especially when cooking for my family.
- Organic Grass Fed Heavy Cream – Made from the milk of 100% pasture-raised cows, this cream is rich, velvety, and naturally full of healthy fats. Because it’s organic and truly grass-fed, it’s free from synthetic hormones, pesticides, and GMOs—giving you a cleaner, more nutrient-dense option for soups, sauces, and wholesome comfort meals. Its creamy texture and pure flavor elevate any dish, and it’s a product I trust when I want the highest-quality ingredients in my kitchen.
- Jovial Gluten Free Pasta – I like opting for gluten free pasta because it’s often easier to digest, especially during times when your body needs a little extra care. Unlike refined wheat pasta, which can spike blood sugar and contribute to inflammation in some people, brown rice is a whole grain that’s easier to digest and gentler on the system. Jovial crafts their pasta from 100% organic brown rice, giving it a deliciously firm texture and mild, nutty flavor without gums, fillers, or additives.

Tuscan Sausage & Pasta Soup
Ingredients
For the Soup:
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 lb Ground Italian Sausage
- 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 2 cups Yellow Onion (chopped)
- 2 cups Carrots (diced)
- 1 tbsp Garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 7 cups Chicken Broth
- 2 cups Pasta
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 cups Kale
- 1/2 cup Sun-dried Tomatoes
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
- Salt & Pepper
For the Rolls:
- 1 cup Warmed Milk
- 2 and 1/4 tsp Instant Yeast
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 cups Bread Flour
Instructions
For the Soup:
- Heat a large pot over high heat and drizzle in the olive oil. Once it’s shimmering, add the sausage along with the salt and pepper. Let it sear for about a minute on each side, then break it up and cook until fully browned. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the sausage to a bowl, keeping about 1 tablespoon of the drippings in the pot and discarding the rest.
- Lower the heat to medium and add the butter, onions, carrots, and garlic. Sauté for 7–9 minutes, or until everything softens and smells amazing. Sprinkle the flour over the veggies and stir for another minute to cook out the raw flavor.
- Pour in 1 cup of the broth while whisking to form a smooth base, then slowly add the rest of the broth, making sure to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom. Bring it to a boil, then add the pasta and cook it just shy of the package time—about a minute less—stirring so it doesn’t stick.
- Turn the heat to low and stir in the cream, kale, and sun-dried tomatoes. Add the Parmesan a little at a time to help it melt smoothly, then mix the cooked sausage back in. Taste and adjust with more salt if needed. If you prefer a thinner soup, add a splash more broth.
- Serve warm with a slice of buttery crusty bread. A sprinkle of red pepper flakes on top is perfect if you like a little kick.
For the Rolls:
- Whisk the warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar in your stand mixer bowl. Cover and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add the rest of the sugar, the egg, butter, salt, and 1 cup of flour. Mix on low for 30 seconds, then add the remaining flour. Mix on medium until the dough comes together.
- Keep mixing for 5 more minutes, or knead by hand on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes.
- Lightly oil a large bowl. Add the dough and turn it so it's coated. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise in a warm spot for 1-2 hours.
- Grease a 9×13-inch pan or two 9-inch pans.
- Punch down the dough to release the air. Divide into 14-16 pieces, shape into smooth balls, and place them in the prepared pan.
- Cover again and let rise until puffy, about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.
